The conference will be held at the Cosmocaixa in Barcelona.

CosmoCaixa is one of the pioneering science museums in Europe and preserves in its premises a large part of the original modernist building, today integrated into the environment. The history of the original building dates back to 1904, when Josep Domènech i Estapà erected the headquarters of an asylum for the blind that operated for 75 years. The remodelling and extension of that heritage building, carried out by the architects Jordi Garcés and Enric Sòria, in 1991 made it possible to open the doors of the first interactive museum to be created in Spain. Years later, with the aim of offering the public a science museum that would live up to the expectations of the imminent turn of the century another major transformation was undertaken at the end of the 1990s: a major project that, over a period of five years, provided space for the current CosmoCaixa, inaugurated in 2004.
